For 17 years, Easton Fencing has been the fence company Sachse TX homeowners call for custom wrought iron, automatic gate systems, and cedar privacy fencing — all installed by our own in-house crews with zero subcontractors. From established streets off Sachse Road to newer homes near the Bush Turnpike, we build fences that meet city code and stand up to North Texas clay.

Sachse grew quickly from the 1980s through 2010, more than doubling in population in some decades. That means thousands of backyard fences went in within a few years of each other, and many of them are now reaching the end of their life at the same time. Replacement is the most common fence job we see in Sachse, in neighborhoods like Heritage Park, Sachse Farms, and Jackson Meadows.
Sachse also sits in two counties, Dallas and Collin, but fence rules come from the City of Sachse either way. We handle the permit, the inspections, and the build — custom wrought iron, automatic gates, and cedar privacy fencing, all from the same in-house crew.
Article to read — Fence Building Cedar vs Iron Fences
Decorative iron — the city code calls it tubular steel — is one of the fence materials Sachse specifically allows, and it’s the right choice when you want security without closing in a yard. We fabricate custom wrought iron fence panels and gates, powder-coat them for the Texas sun, and set every post in a concrete footing sized for the soil.
Iron also fits Sachse’s rule for tall ornamental fences. A decorative fence over six feet has to stay mostly open — no more than one part solid to four parts open — and a well-designed iron fence meets that without looking like a compromise.
Most automatic gate work in Sachse falls into two groups: alley-loaded homes where a rear drive gate has to swing or slide in a tight space, and commercial properties along State Highway 78 and the President George Bush Turnpike that need controlled access. Sachse also requires a clear sight triangle where a driveway meets an alley, so gate and fence placement at the back of the lot has to be planned, not guessed.
We install single swing, dual swing, and sliding gates with keypad, remote, and access-control options, and we pour the footings and run the conduit before any gate is hung.
Cedar is still the top choice for Sachse backyards. Vinyl is not an approved fence material in Sachse, so wood and composite are the go-to privacy options here. We build board-on-board and shadowbox cedar fences, set posts 30 to 36 inches deep in concrete, and stain them in the color you choose.
Seal new cedar within 60 to 90 days of installation and it keeps its color for years. Skip that step and the sun greys it out fast.
Whether it’s a full cedar replacement in Heritage Park, custom iron for a front yard, or an automatic gate for a business off Highway 78, we’ll come out, measure, and give you an honest number.
A fence company that knows Sachse. Most Sachse homes were built during the city’s big growth years, so many neighborhoods are now replacing their first or second fence. On those jobs we check what the last crew left behind — leaning posts, undersized footings, and fence lines that drifted off the property line — before we build new.
Many Sachse subdivisions also have an HOA with rules on material, height, and stain color on top of city code, and we confirm those before a post goes in the ground.
What a fence permit in Sachse actually requires. Sachse requires a permit to build a new fence or gate, replace or move fence posts, repair or replace more than 25 percent of a fence, or change a fence’s height or material. Replacing a few pickets doesn’t need a permit. The application includes a site plan showing existing structures, easements, and the fence location, type, and height, and the contractor has to be registered with the city.
Side and rear fences can be up to 8 feet tall. Front-yard fences are limited to 3 feet, or 4 feet on lots of an acre or more. Inspections include a footing inspection where one applies and a final inspection. We pull the permit and schedule the inspections as part of the job.
Deeper posts than the city requires. Sachse’s code sets a minimum 24-inch concrete footing for fences under 7 feet, and 36 inches for fences 7 feet and taller. We set standard residential posts 30 to 36 inches deep anyway, because Sachse sits on Blackland Prairie clay that swells when it’s wet and shrinks when it’s dry. That seasonal movement is what makes shallow posts lean within a few years.

We had Easton Fencing do the fence around our almost 2 acre property. The experience was great, fast and affordable, which was exactly what I was looking for. I thought about doing it myself and after the process of them installing it, I am definitely glad I did not TRY and do it myself lol. I would definitely recommend this company if you’re searching! Good people, everybody was polite and worked hard. Thanks again JustinPosted on Google![]()

Justin and his crew did amazing. I got several bids and Easton fence beat everyone’s price and showed up on time everyday. They built my 8 foot cedar fence with a massive custom 35ft rolling gate. I would highly recommend his company and crew for any job you are thinking about doing. You won’t find a better guy to work with and he suggested things that made the fence even better than I was hoping for.Posted on Google![]()

Justin and his team do great work. I've now used them twice, and I've been very happy each time. I had to cancel my installation date with Justin (which he accommodated) and subsequently asked him to get the work done quickly before my mother moved into her home. He managed his crews to get our work done on time before bad weather hit. Nice people and quality installation.Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Yes. Sachse is one of our service areas, along with neighboring Wylie, Murphy, and Plano. We install custom iron fencing, automatic gates, and cedar wood fencing for homes and businesses across Sachse, and every job is handled by our own insured, in-house crews. Call (469) 544-9707.
Yes, in most cases. Sachse requires a permit to build a new fence or gate, replace or move posts, repair or replace more than 25 percent of a fence, or change its height or material. Swapping out a few pickets doesn’t need one. The fence contractor must be registered with the city, and Easton Fencing handles the permit and inspections for you.
Side and rear fences in Sachse can be up to 8 feet tall. Front-yard fences are limited to 3 feet, or 4 feet on lots of one acre or more. Your HOA may set a lower limit, so check your covenants before choosing a height.
No. Sachse’s residential fence guidelines prohibit vinyl, along with sheet metal, corrugated metal panels, plywood, and fiberglass. Approved materials include wood, decorative tubular steel (iron), masonry, brick, stone, chain link, split rail, and composite.
Sachse requires a concrete footing at least 24 inches deep for fences under 7 feet, with posts no more than 8 feet apart. Fences 7 feet and taller need 36-inch footings and posts no more than 6 feet apart. Easton Fencing sets standard residential posts 30 to 36 inches deep because of the area’s expansive clay soil.
Fence cost in Sachse depends on linear footage, material, number of gates, and whether an old fence has to be removed and hauled away. Cedar is usually the most affordable option, custom wrought iron costs the most, and automatic gates are priced separately. We quote on-site and give you a fixed price instead of a per-foot estimate that changes later.
